# RedBot 1.9.3 Release Notes

Version: 1.9.3-phase7.3
Release type: fixes (delivered as an update to 1.9.2)

## Opening RedBot now shows it

In 1.9.2 RedBot always started hidden in the system tray, and Windows 11 tucks new tray icons
behind the ^ arrow next to the clock. Opening RedBot again (desktop or Start-menu shortcut)
then did nothing visible, because the second launch quietly exited. The result looked like
"RedBot is running but there is no window". Reported by the first family installation.

- Opening RedBot from a shortcut, the Start menu or at the end of Setup shows the dashboard.
- Opening RedBot while it is already running brings the running RedBot's dashboard forward.
- Starting automatically at sign-in still stays quietly in the tray (unless setup has not
been finished yet, in which case the dashboard shows so the setup wizard can be found).
- The start-up notification now says where the tray icon is, including the ^ arrow.

## Setup no longer misses a RedBot that is still starting

If Setup or Uninstall ran within the first few seconds of RedBot starting (for example right
after signing in to Windows), RedBot was not yet listening for the request to close. Setup
asked only once, waited 90 seconds and stopped without changing anything.

- RedBot now listens for close requests from the moment it starts.
- Setup repeats the request every second while it waits.

## Support information

tools\Collect-RedBotSupportInfo.ps1 (right-click > Run with PowerShell) saves a zip to the
Desktop for troubleshooting: RedBot's processes and windows, tray icon setting, auto-start
task, Microsoft Defender status and any Defender events about RedBot (read only; nothing is
changed), crash events, and start-up/error lines from RedBot's log. It contains no passwords
or API keys and no balances or trade amounts.
